The Globalstar GSP-1700 is the smallest and lightest Globalstar satellite phone and has an ergonomic design for user comfort and convenience. Weighing only 200g the GSP-1700 is easy to travel with and the antenna stows into the handset when not in use for even more compact carrying. The GSP-1700 is available in Copper, Silver or Red and has a colour display and offer both voice and data capabilities.

The Globalstar GSP-1700 comes with:

Please note that Globalstar's satellite constellation is currently in the process of being upgraded. This will affect the ability to make and receive calls. However the system should be back to its best by the beginning of 2012. If constant communication is vital for you then GTC would currently recommend using Iridium, Thuraya or Inmarsat satellite phones unless you have a particular reason to use a Globalstar phone.

About Globalstar Sat Phones

Globalstar satellite phones are currently not working to their best potential due to the satellite upgrade that is currently taking place. This is due to be completed at the beginning of 2012 which will then allow the user to a complete service with a new host of advantages available to them.
